Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

Removal of boyfriend from house.

My boyfriend and I have been living together for a little over 6 years. I bought a house 3 1/2 years ago and we now live in it. I have ask him to leave several times but he refuses. He does not pay any rent or put anything towards the bills. In fact, he does not work. I have basically supported him. How do I legally get him out of my house. I don't want to cause him problems, I just want him to leave.

Re: Removal of boyfriend from house.

It may take weeks to have your "boyfriend" removed judicially.Longer if he's shrewd enogh to file bankruptcy. First, I would give him a deadline; tell him that you will have his items removed and the locks changed if he fails to leave by that time. You could offer to help him move, pay a utility or security deposit, or other bribe to get him out "voluntarily". This is perfectly legal. Dont pay a thing until he's out.

In the interim, no cookin, no lovin. JMC

The easiest is to go to the local Clerk of Court, usually located at Court house and file for an eviction. Good Luck.
