Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

removing name from joint credit cards

My husband and I are having problems and he is a heavy drinker and I have started to notice that some of the credit cards are becoming deliquent and I would like to know what can I do. I do not want my credit to get messed up. How can I have my name taken off of the credit cards that are joint cards?

Re: removing name from joint credit cards

The best thing to do is to close out what ever card you are having a problem with. Thereby, no additional charges can be made and you won't be responsible. There is always a confusion of who is really liable even if you removed your name. Close it and there will not be any confusion.
