removing non-biological fathers name from birth cert:\nHE IS aware that he is not the father of my daughter and we are not and havent been together for a couple years. He does not see her at all and he is an illegal Alien from Mexico. I want to remove his name from the birth cert in the event that something were to happen to me that he would not be able to take her. He is crazy and there has been domestic abuse and he is in and out of jail A lot. heavy drinker and does drugs. Is there anyway at all that i can get his name off there being that he is not the biological father? \n\nthanks from florida

File a petiton to amend the birth certificate with DCF. You should also file a paternity case against the biological father.
