Have resonable doubt to believe a child My husband has been paying support and s
My husband had a short tem relationship before we were together where there was a child conceived. My husband at the time was only 17 years old. When the relationship was over due to her infidelity he was ordered to pay child support which he agreed to do and has been for 10 years now. Well about a year or so ago we received a phone call from a man that had relations with my husband's ex before they were together. He started asking if my husband had signed the birth certificate of the child and also asked if my husband received a paternity test. My husband did sign the birth certificate but did not recieve a paternity test. The man stated he was in prison and she was contacting him the entire time telling him that he was the father of the child. He told us she had sent him pictures and letters concerning the child. The man also stated that he was getting married soon and wanted to clear this up. We were so shocked by this that we didn't think to ask how to contact him. I know my husband signed an affidavit (the birth certificate) so we don't know how to go about getting a paternity test since the mother has custody of the child. Is there any advise you can give me??

Frankly, there is no simple solution to your problem. I cannot emphasize enough the need for you to obtain competent counsel to represent your husband in this matter. This has serious legal implications for all parties and must be handled properly.
