If a respondent's motion to quash service of process is granted,what exactly does this mean and how does it affect the case for which he was being served to appear for/child support upward modification approved in 2007 and was to be paid retroactively?

The court has quashed or stopped the service of process, for some reason. The service must be corrected to meet legal procedure requirements. It has no other effect on the case.
