Legal Question in Family Law in Florida
Retaining Attorney
Do I still need to retain a attorney if my ex and I agree on child visitation and child support for my daughter? Would it hurt me somehow later on if I just write up our agreement and we both sign it without an attorney writing it up and we don't go thru the courts or state?

Re: Retaining Attorney
Yes because it will not be enforceable. If you can agree to everything, why not just go through the courts "pro-se" -- without an attorney. Florida courts have a "self-help" program and the clerk will help you. Once the judge sign off on your agreement, then if one of you violates it, the other has a recourse.
