Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

Can I revisit a final settlemen?

I settled in a divorce proceeding 11 yrs. ago under emtional and physical abuse, which never came out in court. I was mentally drained and settled for much less than I should have. My husband is verey financially secure. Can I go back and file for Unfair Division of Property?

After all this time, you don't stand any chance of reopening the case, unless you just awoke from a coma. William S. Stern

It would be very difficult to change a settlement that you voluntarily entered into without very clear evidence of fraud and duress. Also, it has been a very long time since said agreement. Courts do not like to distrub past rulings without really good reasons. You may be better served by filing for a modification if there are children involved and seeking an increase in child support.
