Legal Question in Family Law in Florida
Rights
If my eighty seven year old spouse is not able to do chores of any kind, what rights do I have to get things done? Our home needs reapairs and he won't let my kids do any of them. Says it is his house. Not mine.

I am guessing that the home may be in both names. If so, then you both own the home, not just your husband. You have the right to have repairs made to preserve the condition and value of the home.
It appears that the bigger issue may be the physical and mental health of your husband. If he is unable to care for himself and make rational decisions, it may be time to consider a guardianship of your husband. If so, you should meet with an elder law attorney to discuss how this can be handled with the least distress for him.

Who owns the home? How long have you been married? Send me a e-mail with a phone # to talk to you to discuss.
