Rights Of The Father
My ex is pregnant with my first child i want to be there for all the doctor visits and the birth but she says no she doesnt want me there is there a law to help me that would require her to allow me to be present in those cases this is my first child and i want to be there for all the things that lead up to my childs birth

Hello: I can only give you a general answer as I do not have all of the facts of your case. Was there a divorce? If so, you could go to that judge and ask for an Order. If you are not married, you most likely will have problems being present unless she agrees. You'd think as it gets closer to the birth, she would be more open to that. I do not believe you could file a Paternity case at this time. However, that would be your remedy after the birth to enforce your parental rights. 'Hope this helped. Tom Rosenblum
