Legal Question in Family Law in Florida
do I have any rights since we arent married
MY fiance and i have lived together for 4 1/2 years, we have 3 children, I dont work am a stay at home mom. We dont have a good relationship, hes very emotionally abusive and controlling. He takes the car from me, turns my cell phone off, etc. The house is his, the utilities, etc are all in his name. He has left again, and like always makes himself the victim to everyone and bad mouths me. My question is he says hes going to turn off the house phone and the utilities? Can he do that? I know we arent married but do I have any rights at all since he has been the sole supporter of the family and we have 3 kids. Can he kick me out without giving me any time to move all my things which most everything in the house is mine. I just need to know what my rights are or if i have any

Re: do I have any rights since we arent married
You don't have any spousal rights, but you do have the same rights as a roommate. In other words, he can't just toss you out, he has to give you notice and, if you still don't leave, evict you.
