sale of property while seperated

my husband and I recently seperated. we own a boat and the title states registered owners as husband OR--wife- does this mean one of us could sell the boat with out the others permission or signature?

If there are no other impediments, it means just that A or B, not A and B.

If you don't want it sold, I would contact an attorney fast and get him/her to assist and preserve a marital asset. I assume it is a marital asset.
