Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

School starts on my week. The ex sent word through our teenage boys that she refuses to buy school supplies and has decided that I am to do so this year. We have joint custody, she receives child support on time and has always bought supplies in the past from those funds. When I told her (directly, not through the boys) that I declined her offer to buy the supplies she was furious. She called back later and left a strong VM telling me that it was "not an offer". She came to her decision without discussing this with me, sent word through our boys and now has them greatly concerned over something that should not have even come up. My child support is taken from my check so I cannot simply adjust the amount for anything extra that I buy. I am ordered to pay support and provide health and dental insurance and do so without complaint. This really irks me but I don't see any good options at this point.

You're supposed to split the cost of school supplies. Work it out.
