Legal Question in Family Law in Florida
My ex and I are seeking a divorce and originally when we separated, we agreed that she would keep the vehicle that we bought together. After about a month she contacted me stating she no longer wanted to pay for the vehicle so she said I needed to take it. Since then (six months) I have had sole responsibility for payments and up keep of the vehicle and wanted to make sure she cant try to take it back if we go to court to divide property. I cannot take her name off the car and loan until we are legally divorced. Are there forms or letters I can ask her to sign to relinquish her rights to the car to me before I sign divorce papers?

Both of you need to sign a marital agreement determining assets and liabilities that will become part of your divorce.
Have a lawyer prepare a comprehensive written settlement agreement.
