Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

I am seeking a divorce from my 7 year marriage. The problem is, my spouse intends on leaving the state and I don't know where he is. I have heard of posting divorce intentions in the newspaper and wonder if there is any truth to this. Also, if that is the case, how costly could a divorce like that be. I live in the state of Florida. He has left me with an over 50K debt and so I need to find the least costly method of divorce. PLEASE HELP

YOu can serve him through publication in the last county in which he lived - this is called constructive service. However, there is a list of diligent search criteria you must follow so I suggest you find out where he is. If he leaves the state its ok because right now he has not established residency in any other state and Florida will still have jurisidiction. I suggest you don't wait too long.
