Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

I am separated from my wife, and am in the process of filing for divorce. She currently has custody of my two sons who I have not been allowed to see for over three months.

She has written me, as has her family about if I would consent to have my ten year old son fly alone from FL to CA and spend some time with her family without her travelling with him.

Would that create any legal difficulties for me in the impending divorce if I approved that trip?

I would not approve the trip if I were you. I would consult legal counsel asap. If she has not let you see the children in three months what makes you think that you will get more visitation when they are in California.
