Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

I was just served for civil contempt for not paying on a support order. What can I expect? How can I get out of it? I am afraid I will go to jail or lose my job.

If you cannot afford an attorney, although I highly recommend you speak to one right away, then you should contact the State Attorney's Office and try to coordinate a payment arrangement to get you back on track. If you are currently struggling with your payments, I suggest you speak to an attorney right away to determine whether or not you qualify for a Petition for Modification of Child Support.
