Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

I was just served divorce paper's from my soon to be ex. We agreed on a settlement. I was asked to appear in court on Nov. 17,. Question: Do I have to appear since I agree on the settlement?

If you have been ordered to appear by court order (not just by summons), you must appear. If your case is a simplified dissolution, you must appear. If your case is an uncontested dissolution, you probably don't have to appear, but you may want to check with a local lawyer or the judge's office to be certain.
