Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

Shared dental and tutor expenses ?

My 13 year old daughter lives in FL with my ex-wife. I just received an email from her saying that she is asking for half of the money for my daughter's braces and her tutor. Does dental work considered medical expense? Also shouldn't the child support that I am already paying be used to pay for her tutor? We have joint custody but she had never discussed with me my daughter needing/going to a tutor.
