Legal Question in Family Law in Florida
I am in a shared parental responsibility agreement, where I am primary custodial parent of twin eleven year old boys. In addition to our children, the secondary parent [the Mother] has two sons (aged 9 and 7) from a marriage just ending.
She has taken up residence in a one room, decidedly low scale motel equipped with just two double beds.
My questions:
1. Are these appropriate accommodations for a family of five? The twins are scheduled to spend six weeks of summer visitation, starting shortly.
I can understand any family sharing a double-double while traveling, or even for a weekend getaway vacation in a hotel room.
2. Is it the responsibility of a parent to provide their children with their own beds, or at the least their own sleeping space?
It is not discussed in the Visitation Guidelines, but I believe there is an expectation of appropriate living conditions.
Should I be concerned or demand the parent find more suitable residence?

Tight quarters by itself does not justify not sending the kids. If the home is clean and has food in the fridge then that is enough.
