Legal Question in Family Law in Florida
I am a single mother, never married. I have a daughter that I receive child support for and she lives with me full time. I am planning on moving out of state to explore a new career opportunity and I want to know what rights her father and grandparents have. Will they be able to force me to stay here? Am i require to give them notice before hand? I am terrified that if I tell them before I leave they will try to take off with her in an effort to keep me from moving. please help

grandparents have NO rights. As to the child - is there any case on record in teh court house. If there is, then you will have to file a Petition for Relocation. Shouldn't be that hard, since you are going to get a better job etc. it will probably be granted.
If you are not married to the father then you can leave. Contact my office for free consultation 727-446-7659.
If you attempt to relocate that father might pursue his paternal rights through the Court, and attempt to have them order you to have the child returned to the courts jurisdiction. Unless you are very confident that he will not pursue any action through the Court, your best move would be to seek custody, child support, and leave to relocate with the child. This should be done before you relocate.
The grandparents have no right to interfere.
If you opt to proceed without the assistance of counsel, be aware that you will not be entitled to a do over if things go badly.
