Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

My sister(whom lives in ohio) wants to sign over her parental rights to my husband and I(whom live in florida) how would we go about that legally, so that my husband and I can get the baby on our insurance and in school when needed and what not?

Your sister would need to petition the courts in Ohio for you and your husband to be designated as the child's guardian/custodian. If you wish for this to be permanent, you would need to legally adopt the child. In either case, permission of the father is needed (if he is not deceased).
