Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

My son is holding my husband's ashes and will not give them to me. I have asked, via phone, text messaged and went to his home (did not answer the door) by law the ashes are mine. What can I do to get them back?

Ashes get inherited just like any other property of an estate. If there is a probate case open, you'd make a claim for the ashes in the probate case. If not, you have to sue your son.
