Legal Question in Family Law in Florida
If my son's Father, whom I was never married to, takes my son for the summer and refuses to return him, is there anything I can do to get my son back immeidately? If so... what? We have a written agreement between us, but nothing in the courts. I am worried about his upcoming summer visit. My son's Father is in the military. Just came back from Korea, and is moving to N. Carolina.

Let him have the child for the summer. However, have him sign off in writing that he agrees to return the child by a date certain.
If he doesn't return the child, you can pursue a pick-up order. Don't sit on enforcing your rights.
If you opt to proceed without the assistance of counsel, be aware that you will not be entitled to a do over if things go badly.

Although I always like Mr. Goldstein's advice, I believe you might want to consider doing the paternity testing and file for child support, do a parenting plan for visitation. As your son grows older this will become more of a problem as the military is constantly moving and you need to know where your son will be. also, what if he decides to not re up with the military. If he tells you he is going to NC and then doesn't it will take months to track him down, money you probably do not have.
