Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

My son's paternal grandparents adopted him. It was only for social security benefits. I was manipulated into signing the papers. I got a lawyer before the 1 year time was up. I ended up missing the court case bc of miss informed information from my lawyer. It has been a year since the adoption was "finalized" but during this time I ended up getting emergency custody of said child for a couple days. I need to know if there is any way I can still take my case to court and get my son back.

There is no way this can be answered. You need to see an attorney and take your papers with you. It may be possible to vacate the order granting adoption but the circumstances would need to be higher than just substantial. You would need clear and convincing evidence to say the least. If I can be of assistance, please contact my office for an appointment. 904-997-1031
