Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

spouse credit card debit

I am about to get married, and I noticed that my finance has been incurring alot of credit card debit lately. My question is once we are married, will I become liable for his debit created on his personal accounts?

Re: spouse credit card debit

No, not unless you are a co-signor on his account. If not, don't become one, and if possible, don't you yourself make purchases with this card. If necessary (and hopefully it never will be), you can establish his pre-marital debt through the credit card statements you would be entitled to obtain in a divorce action.
