Ex- spouse getting her to pay child support

My ex and i divorced in 2003, i have custody of our daughter. We were married for 20 years and at the time she did not have a job. I pay alimony and support our child totally. Now she has a job, should she have to pay child support?

Re: Ex- spouse getting her to pay child support

You should consult with an attorney to explore the situation. It may well be the case that she could be ordered to pay for child support, but without discussing the entire situation, it is impossible to give you a reliable answer. Please feel free to give me a call if you would like to discuss. I don't charge for intitial phone consultations.

You can usually modify the support portion of a dissolution of marriage as well as the alimony provision. Every day you wait is another day you cannot get the funds back. time is always of the essence in these cases.

We can provide a 1/2 hour consultation, often by phone, however, we practice only in North Florida.

Best of Luck.
