Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

spouse testimony

My wife and I got in to an argument at a restaurant. It became a shoving match. There was no arrest then but now my wife has been called in for a statement. Does a wife have to testify against her husbend in Florida. I've been told no by others that are not lawyers.

Under normal circumstances, a spouse cannot be compelled to testify against a spouse, but spouse abuse and spouse battery are exceptions.
