Legal Question in Family Law in Florida
I started dating someone I met online and we have been together for 6 months. I kept some of my financial information from her as I was being somewhat cautious and protective. Once she discovered I was keeping it from her, she called ex-girlfriends, my ex-wife, my in-laws, some of my guy friends, and she pulled a credit report and my VA records - all without my permission. Once I found out, I told her to stop, but she claims she can do as she wishes - I disagree. Do I have any legal recourse for her "invasion" of my privacy. I have made it clear she has, and is doing it all against my wishes.

The answer will depend on what she said to the people she called and whether the records she collected were public in the first place. If she was simply collecting information on you, then I find it unlikely that she'd be prosecuted for any crime. If by legal recourse you also mean a civil suit, you would be required to establish damages - something difficult to do under the circumstances. In reality, 'legal recourse' may only exacerbate the situation. If you're not happy with her actions, maybe it's best that you simply break ties with her.
