Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

out of state divorce (Florida/Indiana)

My husband filed for divorce in Sumter couty Florida, while we were living in Indiana. ? is: will we have to appear in court, are there county or state lawyers that offer free service or low cost legal services? My husband has supported me for 2 years and do not have a job and limited financial support from family. Can anybody guide me in the correct direction?

There are non-profit legal aid organizations who can evaluate your situation and perhaps represent you pro-bono. You should check within the county where the petition was filed.

Now as for location, was your husband a resident of Florida when he filed? How long had you been in Indiana when the petition was filed?
