Re: Statutory percent on arrears
A judge can award up to 25% of the total amount of your normal child support payment toward arrears.
So, for example, let's say normal payments are $1,000 per month and the person is $10,000 in arrears. The judge can order monthly payments of up to $1,250 per month. The extra $250 per month would go toward the arrears.
