Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

Stopping Divorce Process

After filing for divorce w/o a lawyer, can the process be stopped, and re-filed w/ a lawyer's assistance? Since filing, I discovered spouse purposely withheld financial information.

Re: Stopping Divorce Process

The process can be stopped, but it is probably more efficient to have the attorney "enter an appearance" (join the case) and amend the pleadings, if necessary. An experienced family law attorney can be very helpful in dicovering hidden assets. If you would like a consultation on this matter, feel free to call my office at 407-679-3823. S. Halbert
