Legal Question in Family Law in Florida
I am trying to get out of a subpoena for my in laws silly divorce l am not important to their case just mud slinging. l need to know how to file a Motion to Quash since l will not be in town for the deposition and for their three day trial l have to work the lawyers only sent me two twenty dollar checks this doesnt pay my wages. Also my last name was misspelled on both subpoenas does this make them invaild then? Thank you for your time.

The misspelling does not invalidate the subpoens. The witness fee seems correct. You are not entitled to be paid your lost wages. You might contact the lawyers to arrange a more convenient time for your depositiopn. That is usually not a problem and can be accomplished without a motion. If you will be called at trial, the lawyers can give you an idea about when to show up.
