supplemental addendum
as my ex-husband and I were leaving family court, my ex husband handed the judge and myself a supplemental addendum which was not addressed& contains derrogotory info about me...am I supposed to respond to it?

You need to be a bit more specific regarding your question. What were you in court for? As the addendum some sort of petition or is it merely a letter to the judge? How bad is the derogatory information?

I am not getting a clear picture of what happened. I will assume that both of you were not represented by attorneys. Handing off paperwork, of any type, in court is improper. What should happen is the ex files it with the clerk's office and sned you a copy and, if pertinent. you would have a chance to respond. Were I the "judge" I would have told him to do it right.
If it affects your position, of course, you must respond.

A Supplemental Petition must be served by a state licensed process server. I would not respond to it until served a summons.
