Legal Question in Family Law in Florida
taking children out of country
I am married with children. My husband is going to Iraq for a year. I am from Germany. Am I allowed to take our children to Germany while he is gone if he has not given me written permission to? We are not divorced and have no legal proceedings pending.

If you do not agree, then stop right here, and do not read any further.
If I understand the current laws, I believe that both parents have to agree when children are leaving the country or else they will not be allowed to leave at the airport. You will need to get this resolved prior to leaving by obtaining a note from your husband properly signed and notarized (or the equivalent) in Germany to avoid problems at the airport with immigration.
