Legal Question in Family Law in Florida
Taxes after divorce
I will be divorced soon.My question
is how do I protect myself if I think
my x will lie on his tax returns? My
alimony will be tax deductible for him. Can I get a copy of his taxes
for the year we were separated?
My SS# will be on all his returns for
the rest of my life,I will be receiving
permament alimony.He is very
deceiving,I need to protect myself.
HOW??????????can I do that?

Re: Taxes after divorce
Yes you can get a copy of tax returns through discovery procedure in the divorce case. Why do you state that your SS will be on his tax records for you it will be income and for him tax deductible.
