I have a 2yr old ,from boyfriend,

boyfriend is on birth certificate. What steps do I need to take to move to Alabama and start a new life. boy friend is on probation. I have had domestic desputes filed agianst him.

Most judges agree that you don't need to take any steps. Since no paternity action has been brought by him (I assume), and since you haven't sued him for child support (I assume), he has no father's rights, and you can just move.

However, a few judges believe you have to follow Florida's relocation statute, which means you have to send him an official form that includes where you'll be moving and many other facts. He then has 30 days to object, and you may end up in a relocation or custody battle.

Talk to a lawyer in your area to see how judges are ruling on whether the notice law applies to unmarried mothers.
