Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

temporary custody

my daughter is trying to get into the army reserves. she has passed the physical and is ready to go to boot camp and then ait. her ex will not accept full temporary custody of their son. he doesn't fit into his social calendar. there is no schedule/time frame for him. boot camp is 2 1/2 months you get a break of a couple of wks before going to ait which takes anywhere from 3 - 6 months depending on what you can do. how can she get him to sign off on this. we live out of the state and are willing to take our grandson for that timeframe, but FL judges think that just because you take your child when allowed the father gets to be in the life of the child. other states and families work quite well when allowing the mother and child to go to a state where they can actually live on the salary they make at work and don't have to go into the service in order to get an education to upgrade their life.

thank you
