Temporary Injuction for protection against dating violence

My boyfriend filed an injunction for protection against dating violence, got a temporary injunction, and now there is a hearing set for 8/30/2007. He regrets filing it. I read his statements which are incomplete, while some of them are not true. I have witnesses to both. He wants to drop everything. Someone adviced us for him not to show up to the hearing to get case dismissed. What is the best course of action for me to clear my name and civil records?
