Legal Question in Family Law in Florida
Termination of Parental Rights
My ex keeps bringing my kids in and out of my life whenever she wants to. My kids do not know me and I don't think it is healthy for them to see me every now and then. I am loosing my mind because everything will be going good and then she will just up and take them from me. I would like to terminate my rights, can I do this?

Re: Termination of Parental Rights
You can sign voluntary surrenders, but it appears that there is no pending divorce or dependency case. You don't mention the ages of the children?
The first thing to do is to get into some kind of counseling and get some guidance. You seem to be aware of the consequence of bringing these children in and out of your life. It is not good. This does not necessarily mean you won't still have the obligation to support. Someone may well question your motives?

Why would you want to do that? Wouldn't you rather seek custody of your children, or at least take steps to increase the amount of visitation you receive?
Re: Termination of Parental Rights
Your parental rights can only be terminated if someone is there (step-parent) to step into your shoes legally. Your better course would be to petition the Court to have court-ordered visitation and enforce your parental rights.
