Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

Name not on title to house

My husband is considering a divorce. We were married 3 months ago & bought a house together although my name is not on the title/deed or mortgage to the house. Will I still be entitled to part of the house? We are also expecting a child due in July.

Re: Name not on title to house

If the home was purchased during the marriage then it is considered a Marital Asset and will have to be divided between the two of you. If purchased before the marriage then you may have a case for Special Equity. You would need to speak to an attorney on this one since there would be more information needed to make that determination. Review my web page at www.attorney-4u.com it has alot of information pertaining to Marital Assets and divorce in general.
