Legal Question in Family Law in Florida
Im a Transgendered person, and on probation, I was informed by my public defender that I could change my name at anytime without my civil rights restored by means of medical? Im curious on how I can do this? If it is truely possible and how about would I do this and maybe point me to an attorny?

You can file a petition for name change, and any Florida family law attorney should be able to assist you. However, in order for a judge to grant your petition, you would have to prove that you wish your name changed for a legitimate reason, and that you're not trying to have your name changed in order to avoid your criminal record being found.
