Legal Question in Family Law in Florida
transportation expenses
My exwife resides in Arizona with our two kids. I get them for Christmas this year and she is not willing to drive or fly to meet me halfway. (I get them the odd years). There is a clause in our divorce agreement saying''half of transportation or transportation expenses''. If I drive to Arizona from Florida and stay in a hotel with my 2 kids, what is she entitled to pay half of? Is she required to pay half of gas and hotel?

You should not rely on or take action based on this communication without first presenting ALL relevant details to a competent attorney in your jurisdiction and then receiving the attorney's individualized advice for you. That is subject to interpretation by the Court. You were part of this agreement and should have some idea. Generally, most parties contemplate sending the children by plane to visit the non-custodial parent. One half of the transportation expense would be the airfare. I do not think she would be required to pay for hotel for you.
