Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

Is it true that a person can get jail time if there is proff that person is cheating on their spouce in New York? My wife is threating to go to the police and file charges based only on the fact I had an affair with another women.

No. There is no crime in any of the 50 states for infidelity. In other countries, I understand that exists, but not in the US.
