Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

Turning over custody of minor children

Our daughter is wanting to turn over her three minor children to her mother an I for a period of time. There is a custody order for the two youngest children with their father, yet he is in agreement with us taking custody for a while. What do we need to do to make it all legal and so we have the necessary rights?

Re: Turning over custody of minor children

You can ask the court of jurisdiction to issue a temporary custody order to you, an extended family member. Many documents must be prepared including both parents' consent. There will be a hearing, etc. I suggest you consult an attorney to help you with the process.
