Legal Question in Family Law in Florida
a twelve year old
i need to know if i want my daughter to come and live with me and my wife, then I know we can take my ex to court. But, do I need a lawyer or can I just represent myself. I know that it is always better to have a lawyer, but I feel that I would be able to represent myself in this matter. Would the judge look down on that and would I still have the same chances of winning my case?

You are certainly allowed to do this without a lawyer. It shouldn't prejudice you in and of itself. The problem is that non-lawyers don't know their rights or the rights of the other party. They don't know that they might be waiving the right to something they are entitled to, for instance, simply by not knowing to ask for it. Believe me, I can often tell, when I get something after the fact, whether someone was represented or not...
