Is there any type of support that a pregnant mother can receive from the expecting father if he abandons them?

At this time I don't believe there is any program that will help force him to take care of you until AFTER the child is born. I suggest you contact the welfare agency nearest you and seek help for doctor care and food stamps. They will also advise you as to any other agency that can help you.
