Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

Can I be un-adopted?

my father's second wife adopted me when I was little girl. She is named as my mother on my birth cert. My father is deceased and I do not have a relationship her. I am 40 years old now. I would like for my bio mom to be on my birth certificate

Re: Can I be un-adopted?

It is quite possible for you to be re-adopted by your biological mother and therefore a new birth certificate would be issued listing her as your mother. If you are married, the court would request a consent from your spouse. Your father's second wife would need to be given notice of the final hearing for the adoption.

Feel free to contact my office as it handles these matters.

Best wishes.
