Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

Unknown location of spouse

I don't know where my husband is, and I want a divorce. Last I talked to him, he wasn't willing to give me one. I know about running an add in the paper, but I wanted to know if there was a quicker way to go about this. Also, if we never established a residence together, nor had any kids or property, isn't there something a little different that applies to me? Abandonment or something? I mean one day he was there, the next he was gone and I heard he was living with another girl in another city. Please help!

Re: Unknown location of spouse

There is no other way than to make a good faith effort to find him (see the instructions to the Affidavit of Diligent Search, which is one of the standard forms), then to serve him by publication in the newspaper if you can't find him.
