Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

I am currently unrepresented in my Florida divorce. I am the petitioner. What will happen if I cannot attend my case management hearing? If a settlement is reached do I have to attend the final hearing?

You are required to attend all hearings, the court could sanction you.

Use of a lawyer is recommended.

If you do not attend the Case Management Conf the Judge may approve any request made by the other side, such as enter a default against you or dismiss your claim, leaving only the claim of the other party. Most judges require the Petitioner to personally attend the Final Hearing. You probably need a lawyer.
