Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

Valid marriage?

My question is this....when I was younger, I married and my wife at the time left. I paid $500.00 to a man claiming to be an attorney and he assured me he would get the default divorce because we had knowledge that she left Florida but no idea where she went. He advised me that it would be taken care of and I paid him. A few years later, I had forgotten about the arrangement and married again only to find out about 3 years after marriage that I had been married at the time of my wedding. My ex-wife subsequently divorced me and now I am working on dissolution of the current marriage......since it has been several years since the actual divorce from the first wife, is my current marriage invalid? Also, can I still get into trouble? (I know that there is a 4 year SOL on Paligamy).
